Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making the AETHUS website accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment

AETHUS is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML markup throughout the site
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
  • Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators
  • Skip-to-content link for keyboard users
  • Descriptive alt text for images
  • ARIA labels and roles where appropriate
  • Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes
  • Form fields with associated labels and error descriptions
  • High-contrast mode toggle for users who need increased contrast

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Some third-party embedded content (e.g. video embeds) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA
  • PDF documents uploaded to the site may not be fully accessible — we are working to ensure all new documents meet accessibility standards
  • The AI chat widget uses dynamic content that may not be fully announced by all screen readers
